HOUSTON LIGHT RAIL
Flowers and Train

Flowers and plants are a frequent presence all along Main St. through downtown.  This is another view of a train passing through "The Water Screen."  It's a fine area for a stroll on a pleasant day.

The Red Line returned electric rail transit to center city after an absence of more than six decades.  The city has the distinction of being a terminal point for the last electric interurban built in the U.S.A., the Houston North Shore, which started service to Baytown in 1927.
