There are sixteen stops on METRORail. Traveling
the
entire run between UH - Downtown and Fannin South takes 32 minutes.
At Main
Street Square the platforms for each direction are
separated by more than a full intervening block;
between Lamar and McKinney the rails are elevated over shallow pools of water.
Spraying jets rise
periodically; at times up when trains are not present, they reach a considerable height. This is likely something
unique for light rail in this country.
Broad abutting sidewalks allow
for pedestrian passage, but non-rail vehicular traffic is not permitted
here. |
