Car 101 is crossing over Main St. Bridge over
Buffalo Bayou, just about to reach the northbound
end of the line at UH-Downtown. A portion of the downtown
skyline is visible in this view. The most prominent building
in view is JP Morgan Chase Tower. At 1002 feet it is the tallest in the city, and
holds the current ranking of second highest office structure west of the
Mississippi.
The old building closer in and more or less beneath that tower bears a
faded wall ad on its upper floors for Southern Pacific
Lines. Times indeed have changed. |
