Edmonton's light rail line is more formally LRT Route 201 of
the Edmonton Transit System, city-owned and operated. In this photo a light rail train waits at the
terminal to
the northeast, Clareview, for its return into the city.
CN
tracks once paralleled the entire light rail route to the tunnel into downtown,
but have now been truncated to a junction north of the city. Out here,
though, freight traffic is frequent, and a long train is slowly
passing the light rail station. |
