The downtown subway has stations under three
different streets, with three of the five stops located below Jasper
Ave., the main east-west artery. Edmonton's option to get
through the central city, compared to Calgary's surface transit
mall, is fast and efficient -- but it was, of course, much more
difficult and expensive to build. |
