Downtown has its mixture of older buildings
constructed in a far different era, and modern (and often very
bland) newer design. The juxtaposition of land-use is
visible in this scene.
Calgary's earlier streetcar era
ended in 1950; one suspects the storefronts in this view were visible
from some old trolley route or routes now long gone. |
