BUFFALO LIGHT RAIL
Looking Into Downtown

This scene looks in toward the heart of downtown from south of the Theater station.  Regular vehicle traffic is prohibited on Main St.

At the time of  the 1900 census Buffalo was the eighth largest city in the country.  Recent estimates have it placed its ranking as 63rd; it has approximately seventy thousand fewer people living within its boundaries than it did more than a century ago.  The overall metropolitan area is also declining in population.
