The calendar showed it still to be springtime at the
time of this scene, but it was an intensely hot June day at Lechmere.
The angle of the afternoon sun created some unwanted streaking in this image.
The train waiting to head inbound is in the 3800 series, the most modern
light rail
in use on the MBTA. These cars are from Breda, and date from the
very late 1990s through much of the first decade of the current century.
