BOSTON LIGHT RAIL
Rounding the Loop

Some of the territory at the redone Mattapan terminal is visible in this scene.  A car is rounding the loop to allow it to pick up passengers for the short run to Ashmont.

These old streetcars were manufactured by Pullman-Standard in the 1940s.  They have been renewed and upgraded some several times.  But more than sixty years later, they still serve well.
