TAMPA HERITAGE RAIL
8th Ave., Ybor City

This image looks eastbound in Ybor City.  Streetcars in either direction use a single track on a reserved lane of 8th Ave in the historic district.  At the Tampa Bay Federal Credit Union station, visible in the background more or less under the pedestrian overpass, a second track allows cars in either direction to meet.  In the distance a car heads to the next and final stop, Centennial Park.

The station, named for a credit union, and the TECO identity itself, speak to a fact of life about the line: it is supported in part by paid plugs from corporate sponsors.  TECO Energy is the parent company to Tampa Electric, supplier of the area's power needs, and other business units.
