The train in this photo is waiting to start its Saturday run from Lindenwold
into Philadelphia. This is one of the earlier Budd cars, and dates
to the late 1960s. A somewhat newer model of cars, built by
Vickers, is also in use.
The "Local" designation hints that during weekday
rush hours some express service is provided. Three stations are
skipped along the middle portion of the route. |
