PATH HEAVY RAIL
Track 3

This view is at Hoboken.  Trains from here go to both Manhattan terminals, but the passenger heading to Newark needs to transfer at Pavonia/Newport.  The four lines that operate during the day become just two lines in the overnight hours (and evening hours on weekends).  The reduced service actually provides some benefit for Hoboken passengers.  There is direct service to Journal Square only during these off-peak operating times.

The car in this photo is from the oldest model in use by PATH, manufactured in the mid-1960s by the once-major builder of transit equipment, St. Louis Car.
