PATH HEAVY RAIL
In Manhattan

PATH's service to 33rd Street provides another rapid transit line under Manhattan for five stations.  For four of those stops the route runs below 6th Avenue, which also has separate space beneath it for a heavily used trunk line of the New York City Subway.  This photo is at 9th Street.  There is one further New York City station, at Christopher St., after the line has curved for access to the Hudson River tunnel.
