Both ends of
Journal Square, a busy transfer station in Jersey City, are out-of-doors. The cars
under the shelter of the station in this view reflect
the bright sunlight of a May morning. PATH (and
predecessor) vehicles have been manufactured by several different car-builders over
the years. The model first delivered in 1986, made by Kawasaki, is pictured in this scene.
In a delivery contract worth almost half a billion dollars the entire
fleet is to be replaced by a new model of Kawasaki vehicles between 2009
and 2011. |
