MONTREAL HEAVY RAIL
Expansive Windows

Not only the passenger seats but also the doors and the train ends feature very large windows.  But alas, one cannot see out of the front or the rear of the train, and the side views are limited to scenes almost always deep within the subway.

Trains are assembled in three car units, so a run can consist of either three, six or nine cars.   The standard fare for a one-way ride is $2.50 Canadian.

Montreal is among the minority of cities that also provide a commuter rail network.  That system is operated by a different agency.  Several Métro stations are located close to commuter stops or terminals.
