Older homes and garages of Cicero are in the background
in this view at the Kostner Ave. crossing. Unprotected "third
rails" end a few feet in from the sidewalk. From this rather
primitive stretch of right of way this Blue Line train will rise to the
"L" as it attends to the long and varied route out to O'Hare.
This service now operates in rush hours only, and at other times, travel
out to the airport is certainly less convenient than it once was.
