For several stations after
coming up from the Dearborn Subway and before beginning the long, more
modern extension out to O'Hare from Logan Square, the Blue Line right of way is elevated and
parallels Milwaukee Ave. through some
old and somewhat weary neighborhoods.
This portion of "L" travels on a narrow footprint
across streets, along alleys and by the back yards of many dwellings and
