CHICAGO HEAVY RAIL
Crossing Multiple Tracks

This 2002 scene shows a view somewhat similar to that of the previous page in the series, but times have changed.  Here our Brown Line train is still on the outer track.  It needs to wait for traffic to clear and for the switch to be set correctly.  We will then move to the inner northbound track -- occupied presently by a Red Line train to Howard -- and then shortly thereafter to switch left across the two southbound tracks.

A Red Line train approaches, headed for downtown and the South Side.  The light towers of Wrigley Field are in the distance toward the left.

This is one of those many wonderful places that one can find on the CTA.
