The "L" tracks for the Brown and part-time Purple Lines spread to accept the Red Line
transitioning to and from the subway in this photo. The
local station at Armitage is barely visible at about where the tracks reach equal level.
The Red Line runs express through
there and through two of the following three stations northbound.
It then continues, still on the
inside two of the four-track right of way, as a local up to
Howard.
