CHICAGO HEAVY RAIL
Turn and New Building

This scene looks north from the Wabash/Randolph station.  The curves to the Lake St. alignment just ahead mark the only corner on the Loop which has never seen a major junction.  No trains are in view.

Beyond the "L," and across the Chicago River, work was underway at the time of this 2006 photo on what will become one of the city's tallest buildings, the Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago.  This was the former site of the Sun-Times Building, pictured in the distance on earlier pages in this section.
