This view is from the northern overpass at
Adams/Wabash. Two southbound trains are approaching. The
Madison/Wabash Station is but two blocks away.
Loop service has changed time and time again over the decades.
For a long period up until the very late 1960s trains on both tracks ran
counter-clockwise. During that period
the observer standing on this bridge would not have expected to see any
approaching headlights. |
