A train from Braintree is at JFK/UMass station in
this scene.
On the parallel right of way south from here the Ashmont trains stop at Savin Hill, but Braintree
passes through with no platform or stop.
This once was also the case at this station.
Boston's subway system, like the light rail network, is operated by
the MBTA. Unusual, though, is that "The 'T'" also operates the area's commuter rail network.
The track and platform visible to the left
belongs to that other system; it transports
passengers from South Station to points south. |
