BOSTON HEAVY RAIL
At Oak Grove

Doors open, an Orange Line train waits at Oak Grove to begin the journey back into Boston and down to Forest Grove.  It was a dreary day in early October at the time of this photo, but the rain had stopped.

The line is about eleven miles long.  It shares two stations, North Station and Haymarket, with Green Line light rail, but each line has its own tracks and platforms.

The series of transit vehicles in view here was manufactured by Hawker-Siddeley around 1980.
