The Blue Line is by far the shortest of the three
Boston heavy rail roads, extending just under six miles from Bowdoin
downtown to Wonderland in Revere. Its route takes the rails under Boston Harbor to East Boston and a stop near
Logan Airport, and through Charlestown and Revere.
The train in this photograph has proceeded beyond the final outbound station, and has switched to the inbound track.
It will soon re-enter the platform area, ready to pick up passengers for the
fairly brief trip back to
center city. |
