more prominently in view. The three tracks at Millbrae narrow
down to two shortly after trains go into the tunnel.
BART is
capable of operating at 80 mile per hour speeds. The
technology of the system, despite all the problems encountered early
on, marked a very major advance in the history of the country's
heavy rail transit. |
