      previous page, this camera view shows the tracks at the yard merging 
      toward their junction with the revenue rails, which are off to the far right. 
 The 
			system's route length at about 104 miles makes it a pretty much 
			co-equal with Chicago and Washington, D.C. in the second tier below New York 
			City for total miles in service.  Unlike either New York or 
			Chicago, no BART routes operate 24 hours a day.  There is 
			approximately a four-hour gap in service in the wee hours of the 
			morning.
