This photo is from a subway platform under Market St.,
downtown
San Francisco. It was taken early on a Saturday morning, a time when not many
passengers were using the system.
The mammoth tunnel project that brought BART beneath center city
provided a second
transit level, above, for the San Francisco light rail network. Each of the four Market St. stations is also served by
Muni, one level above. A third, and highest, underground level provides
separate entry areas for either system. |
