The MARTA station at Atlanta-Hartsfield International Airport
is invitingly close to baggage claim, and not at all distant from the
airline check-in area -- quite a contrast, for example, to Chicago's rapid
transit stations at its two airports.
The first portions of MARTA were opened in 1979,
and the South Line reached the Airport in 1988.
