Somewhere, Scrub West

Roads curving and branching under cloudy, hazy western skies.  Choices sometimes made uncertainly and at the last moment to get from somewhere to somewhere in no particular fashion or time.  A brief stop, perhaps, to record the  scene.  The lonely highway junction.  I don't remember where, but I remember a feeling of general well-being, tempered only by having to decide which way to continue on.

Unlike  many of the other photos in the series, this photo contains enough information for a precise determination of the long-forgotten location.  It's in rather remote West Texas, with the Davis Mountains nearby, where State Highway 166 branches off from Route 116.
