VANCOUVER LIGHT RAIL
North Arm Bridge

An outbound train crosses the bridge over the North Arm of the Fraser River in this afternoon scene.  This cable-stayed bridge is shorter, lower and much less impressive than the SkyTrain bridge that connects New Westminster with Surrey.  A bike and pedestrian path is on a lower level on the west side of the structure.

At peak times trains run every few minutes, alternating between the Airport branch and the Richmond line.  Maximum speeds on the newest route are 80 km/h (about 50 miles per her), lower than the 90 km/h on the older routes.
