Looking Toward the City

In this view from Nanaimo Station, there is a short stretch of middle track ahead to accommodate unusual or emergency situations.  High rises in and near downtown are in the distance, and further on, the hazy peaks and ridges of the Coast Range are visible.

As is often the case, a large bus transfer facility is located below the station here.  Vancouver's surface system includes one of North America's largest networks of electric bus routes.
