VANCOUVER LIGHT RAIL
Elevation Increases

A single structure carries both tracks of the Millennium Line as it curves and rises steeply in this view.

It is contemplated that an additional SkyTrain branch will take traffic between Lougheed Town Centre Station, in the northern part of Burnaby, to Coquitlam, by way of Port Moody. Plans have changed several times for that route, and construction has been delayed by funding issues.  It is to be called the Evergreen Line, and now it is proposed that work will start some time in 2010.  If built, it will be about 11 kilometers long.
