ST. LOUIS LIGHT RAIL
Triple Arch

Illinois is on the other side of the Mississippi in this view of Eads Bridge.  A westbound train has begun its gradual descent on the Missouri side.  MetroLink operates the only light rail line in the country that crosses a state boundary.

Arguably this is the most famous and historic bridge used by light rail in the U.S.A.  Steel Bridge in Portland might receive the most votes for number two, followed by Panhandle Bridge in Pittsburgh.  All three have a heritage that includes mainline railroading.
