The Mountain View line goes
in part along the median of Tasman Dr., and then takes off on its own
right of way, passing by the large NASA Ames facility, and a huge
Lockheed Martin industrial complex. There are some grade crossings
at busy streets and across freeway entrance and exit
roadways in this area. There is also some single-track running.
This scene is also from Downtown Mountain View, on a sunnier and
warmer day than depicted by the previous image in this series.
The Silicon Valley economy has had it ups and its significant
downs in the last decade, and VTA is struggling to retain
passenger loads even as its system has expanded. |
