The Bayview-Hunters Point area of San Francisco about midway along the new
extension. Construction was well underway at the time of this
2004 photo, but the overhead infrastructure was yet to be erected. For several
blocks further on, in the heart of Bayview, T-Third runs intermixed
with street traffic.
The racially varied area has a rather gritty
feel to it, and has had a scrappy past. No doubt the expansion of the Muni light rail network will
help foster significant change in the years ahead. |
