SAN FRANCISCO LIGHT RAIL
By the Museum

A Milan car is turning in front of the Market Street Railway Museum in this scene.  The museum is free, and has changing exhibits.  It had recently begun operation at the time of this photo, and was presenting an extensive display on the role of transit in the city's recovery from the 1906 Earthquake and Fire.

One track also continues to the next cross street, Mission, where it turns toward The Embarcadero.  This provides for a downtown loop, when necessary.
