From the overpass that connects Pier 39 with a large parking garage one
can look to the southeast direction and see the Bay Bridge, or to the west
for a view of the
noble spans of the Golden Gate Bridge, fog-free conditions permitting.
This view
looks west, and the span that for three and one half decades was the world's
longest suspension bridge crosses in the background. |
