The building in the background was for many years the headquarters for the Southern Pacific
Railroad. SP was a company with a complex and far-reaching past, and a
company that controlled prominent electric and suburban rail properties in both the San
Francisco and Los Angeles metropolitan areas.
This run shows a destination of "Ferries," and thus likely will
terminate a block or two ahead. The red-orange of the car
complements the brickwork of the building. |
