Traveling entirely within the downtown zone requires a $1.25 fare.
For trips extending outside of downtown, the fare rises with the number of stations the passenger will
pass through, with a maximum one-way charge of $3.00. As is the case on most of the modern systems, fare machines
are located at each station. Proof of payment is required to board the cars,
and there is random checking aboard the runs and on the platforms.
