The trolleys in this view are
working their way along C St. downtown, parallel to, and one block north
of, busy Broadway.
This is along the stretch in which
the two older lines operate jointly.
The San Diego Trolley uses three models of vehicles, each manufactured
by Siemens/Duewag. Headlights and taillights in this scene belong to
the oldest model, the 1000 series. But these are not the very
earliest cars, available for the line's 1981 inaugural, which had no
air-conditioning. |
