Approaching America Plaza

An Orange Line train has almost fully joined with Blue Line tracks for entry into the America Plaza station in this view.  The gates protecting Broadway will soon lift, at least for a little while.

These cars are in the 2000 series, and have single large front windows.  They are the medium-aged ones in the fleet, and date back to the mid-1990s.

This downtown rail junction area particularly fascinates this transit observer.  This section presents a handful or so of other photos taken nearby.
