This view again is at the main junction of
the Blue and Orange Lines adjacent to Santa Fe Depot downtown. Here a Blue Line train
is heading around the railroad station, and will soon make
its stop there, and continue north. At the time of this photo the
service went out to Mission San Diego; but now that station is served by the
Green Line, which reaches downtown only with a transfer at Old Town
Transit Center.
The tracks closest to the bottom right of the photo are not in normal
revenue service. However, when special events are taking place at Qualcomm
Stadium in Mission Valley, passenger runs operate here to and from Gaslamp Quarter. |
