PORTLAND MAX LIGHT RAIL
Looking at Vista Bridge

Westbound MAX trains ascending from the long Robertson Tunnel enter daylight and pass under Vista Bridge, which carries SW Vista Ave.  It is a landscape perhaps much more impressive for the pedestrian walking through the area, or for the passenger waiting at the nearby Goose Hollow/SW Jefferson St. station, than it is for someone on board a train heading in either direction.

The high bridge is extremely pleasing in its proportions and for its grace.  In this scene the late afternoon sun mutes the colors of the image, but perhaps helps highlight the lines of the structure overhead.
