The station deep under the surface at Washington Park
contains a geologic timeline display, highlighting earth core samples
that were extracted during the
pre-construction phase of the tunnel project. Much information is provided.
And etched images and writings are also present, relating to the
Zoo and other institutions in the huge park above. It all makes for
interesting viewing during the moments waiting for a train to approach.
