The public art at Fair Complex/Hillsboro Airport features this mighty trophy and the proclamation "World's Greatest." It
was a
bit enigmatic, at least to this observer at the time. But several years later,
from an obscure publication for sale by MAX, he learned that this
"light-hearted landmark ... honors the spirit of competition and displays
of skill that are the heart of activities near this station."
There is a large
park-and-ride lot at this and a number of other stations on the Westside.
The line is well patronized, but finding a parking space is not normally an issue. |
