As noted earlier, Sunset Transit Center is the first stop on the west side
of Robertson Tunnel. Since the portal this outbound train has been running parallel to,
and along, the north side of Sunset Hwy.
After the station it will head through a long U-shaped, slow-speed short
tunnel
that will wind up taking the line onto a brief run back along the south side of that
same freeway. It's a rather peculiar turnabout, one which lasts only briefly
before the right of way heads off southwest, along Tigard Freeway, and into Beaverton. |
