PORTLAND LIGHT RAIL
Nearing Interstate/Rose Quarter

This scene is from a bit south of Broadway Bridge.  Landscaping is in place on the east side of the reserved transitway.

The downtown route of the Yellow Line changed in 2009.  It no longer traveled the original alignment to City Center, but now came off Steel Bridge onto new trackage, shared with the Green Line, and then generally north-south along NW and SW 5th and 6th Aves.-- streets previously part of the bus-exclusive Transit Mall.  Both lines end near Portland State University, with a loop beyond accomplishing turnaround duty.
