This is another view of the three tracks through the
Gateway/NE 99th Ave. Transit Center. A train from the Airport is
stopped on the middle track, pointed for this brief portion of its run more
or less back toward its origin. The two right-hand tracks handle westbound
traffic, with Red to the left, Green at the most right, and Blue, either.
There is a rather casual-looking
pedestrian crossing allowing access to all three platforms, and to a number
of bus lines
which stop to the left of the light rail complex. Slow speeds and passengers
heeding the warning signs help maintain the system's good safety record. |
