Mt. Hood Beyond

This view is similar to one shown earlier in this section, but more of the power infrastructure is in the picture here. 

The snowy presence the highest mountain in Oregon again appears in the distance.  At 11,239 feet (give or take, depending on the resource consulted) Mt. Hood is substantially lower than the most eminent peaks in bordering states to the north and south.  But it stands alone, and is amazingly impressive from the Portland area, when skies are fairly clear.
