The opening of the line in 2009 brought MAX light rail to
Clackamas County for the first time.
The three counties served by MAX are Multnomah (home to the entire original
line from Portland to Gresham); Washington, to the west of Portland; and
Clackamas, to the south. Multnomah is both the smallest and the most populous
county in the state. Clackamas is expansive, and includes beautiful
Mt. Hood.
